SAND 019

"Sand 019" belongs to the large "Collection Cosmic Sands" and dates back to 2004 when analog photography was my method. I took the Nikon with me everywhere. I traveled with many 35mm Kodachrome films like 200 kodak, Fuji-chrome, kodak tri-X 400, and E100 professional. My studio in Panama is situated in a small bay in front of the Pacific sea where sand at the shore is volcanic; a grainy mix of a whitish and dark gray. Low tide creates amazing images as the sea retrieves itself to the horizon, bringing up a deeper level of the sand surfaces. I was marveled by these drawings delineated by the contrast of light and dark tones of the sand. I took my Nikon camera and began to shoot each of them.
